Salmon Run: 28 Years in the Running

Registration and race details for the Salmon Run can be found here.

Registration is now open for the 28th annual Salmon Run, a 5K run/walk held Sunday, November 10, 2024. The Salmon Run is a benefit event that over the years has raised over $170,000 for environmental non-profit groups working on important issues in our own backyard. We hope you can join us this year for a morning of fun and community.

This year’s beneficiary will be The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy (OVLC). They are a community-supported, nonprofit land protection organization founded in 1987. Their mission is to protect and restore the natural landscapes of the Ojai Valley forever, and their vision is to lead the Ojai Valley’s response to climate change. OVLC manages 2,600 acres of open space. Within this geography, 2,000 acres are open for free public access, five times the open space managed in the valley by the City of Ojai and the County of Ventura combined. This includes 4.5 of the 16 miles of the Ventura River and 41 acres of active restoration zones.

On these lands the OVLC maintains 27 miles of trail, guides hundreds of visitors, and hosts tens of thousands of school children, hikers, equestrians, and others each year. Open space protected by the OVLC is preserved in perpetuity for the benefit of the community.

Learn how to get involved and support by visiting www.ovlc.org.

There will be no day-of registration this year. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE PRIOR TO THE RACE. Please be aware that last year’s race SOLD OUT. Register early online to guarantee your spot.

Hope to see you at the run!
