• Announcements from coalition members:

1. Regina Hirsch: Localizing CA Waters is hosting Eastern Sierra Nevada annual conference in partnership with local Eastern Sierra  and LA tribes and indigenous community members on healthy watershed communities. October 14-16 2025 at Canyon Lodge in Mammoth. https://localizingcaliforniawaters.org   All are welcome.

2. Marc Chytilo: Sediment and Erosion Control Field School , November 11-13, 2025 in San Luis Obispo - Salmonid Restoration Federation will be hosting a Sediment and Erosion Control Field School on November 11-13, 2025 in San Luis Obispo County. This 3-day field school includes classroom instruction . The course will be held at Camp Arroyo Grande where there are cabins to rent and camping options. This course is funded by CDFW's Fisheries Restoration Grant Program. SRF has not offered this course on the Central Coast for 15 years so this is a great opportunity for ranchers, farmers, RCDs, planners, and property managers to learn about BMPs for sediment and erosion control as well as post-fire remediation. Limited scholarships and work trade opportunities are available for tribal members, landowners, and students. The preliminary agenda is posted and Registration is now open.
